Portal goha.ru citing FFXIVCore.com reported that the Japanese website for FFXIV added descriptions of the playable races. Total number was 10, and, race split into pairs, forming a common people (although you can use and separation of "race-podrasy"). Final list (English version of the text obtained by translating material from Famitsu) has turned out like this:
- Hyuran divided into sedentary Midlander and Highlanders Highlander
- Miqo'te divided into sun worshipers Seekers of the Sun and moon fans Keeper of the Moon
- Lalafell divided into living on the plains and desert nomads Plainsfolk Dunesfolk
- Elezen share on living in the woods Forester and cave dwellers Shader
- Roegadyn divided into sailors Seewolf and living near the volcano Lohengarde
