Traditional MMO limitations placed on the Darkfall Online    09 Dec 2009

There are few traditional ‘MMO limitations’ placed on the Darkfall Online game world.

For example:
1. You can easily form temporary cross-clan alliances to achieve objectives or just be more powerful
2. You are able to fight on both land AND sea
3. You can steal other people’s mounts
4. Cities can be built and attacked (you can lose your clan’s base of operations)
5. You can learn and use every tradeskill to maximum ability
6. Combat uses a 3D ‘first person shooter’ style engine that requires line of site, and gives you the potential to accidentally harm your allies or accidentally benefit your foes.
7. There are no real ‘levels’ to character advancement, but skills, skill trees, etc. This means that a players individual skill is much more important than spending hours grinding the same monsters over and over.
